Our Car Hire Policy

Everything you need to know (including the small print). We want to make hire cars in Rojales available to everyone, so our policy for rental is as simple as it possibly can be. Of course, we have to have some rules for safe use during your holiday here in Spain, so please make sure you’re happy with our hire policy before you book a car.

We can supply and deliver cars for rent to both Alicante airport and Murcia airport, and our easy pricing policy makes cheap car hire in Spain both affordable and simple to calculate the total cost of renting a hire car from No Hassle Car Hire. We are based in Rojales (Ciudad Quesada), if you wish to collect your car locally there is no charge.

What cars do you offer?
All our hire cars are older cars, usually first registered between 2004 and 2007, but they provide reliable independent holiday transport while you are here in Spain. Our vehicles are Spanish registered and left-hand drive. The images here on our website are representative of the cars we offer, and they are not photographs of the actual cars themselves.
Can I choose which car to hire?
Cars are available for hire subject to availability, but if you have a certain model in mind or other special requirements, just let us know and we will do our very best to assist you.
What do I need to hire a car?
To hire a car with us you must be in possession of a full and valid driving licence issued in the UK or any other European country, that was issued at least two years prior to the commencement date of the period of hire.
Are there any age limits for car hire?
Drivers must be over the age of 25 years, and all drivers must have held the full entitlement to drive a car for a minimum of two years. There is no upper age limit for car hire, and we don't add any charges for young drivers above the age of 25.
Can I add extra drivers?
Yes, you can add as many additional drivers as you need, provided that they meet the driver eligibility requirements listed above. There is no additional charge to add extra drivers.
Is there a limit to the length of the hire period?
No, you can keep your hire car as long as you need it, and there is no need to return the car until the agreed period of hire ends. In fact, we specialise in long term rentals and offer discounted rates for hire cars that are required for more than 28 days. Contact us or get a quote online.
How do I get my hire car?
You can collect your car rental in resort here in Rojales, or alternatively, we can deliver your car to Alicante airport or Murcia airport in person. We'll be there to meet you as you arrive outside the airport terminal with your car, and we'll meet you at the airport again to collect your hire car when you're due to leave Spain. Where you choose to go, either Northern or Southern Spain is entirely up to you. The service is available at an extra cost of 30,00€ each way for pick-up and drop-off at Alicante-Elche airport, or for 50,00€ each way for pick-up and drop-off at Murcia-Corvera airport. Alternatively, you can book only one way if that better suits your travel plans. Just let us know when you get a quote or book your car.
Can I book your airport collection and drop-off service?
Yes, we can deliver your car to Alicante airport or Murcia airport in person. Can you supply booster seats for children?
Yes absolutely, happy to. We can supply booster seats for children at no additional charge subject to availability.
Do I need a credit card to hire a car?
No, simply pay in full in cash (Euros) either when you collect your car or upon collection from the airport.
What are your car hire prices?
We charge 15,00€ per day or part day for one car during low season, and 20,00€ per day or part day for one car during high season except for certain models. You can find our current prices by clicking here. High season is any day or part day of July or August only.
When is high season and low season?
Our high season prices apply to any day or part day during the months of July and August only. All other dates outside of July and August are charged at low season prices.
Do I need to give a deposit to hire a car?
No, we do not expect a deposit to be paid at any time.
How do I pay for my hire car?
Simply pay in full in cash (Euros) either when you collect your car from Rojales, or pay the driver upon collection of your car from the airport. You will be given a rental contract upon payment which details the period of hire.
What happens if the rental car breaks down?
Our hire cars are fully comprehensively insured against breakdown. In the event that the car breaks down or if you are involved in an accident, please call the number on your rental agreement for assistance 24 hours a day.
What happens if I damage the hire car?
Obviously we would appreciate it if you would be careful with our rental cars, however accidents do happen. We don't mind the occasional bump, but if you do return the car to us in a condition which means it cannot be hired out again, or if the car sustains substantial damage that requires us to claim on our fleet insurance, we ask that you cover our costs with a fixed payment of 250,00€ in cash.
What is your fuel policy for car hire?
Simple, just return the car with as much fuel as it had when you picked it up. We'll never give you a car with less than a quarter of a tank of fuel and we would appreciate it if you would do the same for us.
What happens if I lose my car key?
We ask that you pay 50,00€ in cash to partly cover the costs associated with recovering the hire car and ordering a replacement key. In the event that the car is no longer driveable, we'll provide an alternative vehicle (subject to availability) for the remainder of the hire period.
Do you charge for insurance?
No, so long as you meet the eligibility requirements for rental, our car hire prices include fully comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance here in Spain. The insurance covers the hirer and any drivers requested subject to the minimum age limit specified above.
Is your company legal?
Yes, absolutely. We are a fully regulated legally registered company in Spain and we adhere to all Spanish and European legislation. Our cars may be a little older, but they are thoroughly maintained and comprehensively covered by industry-standard commercial fleet insurance. We comply with GDPR and other European legislation that concerns your privacy and your data, and you can read our privacy policy in full by clicking here.
Anything else I need to know?
You will be asked to sign a contract before the period of hire begins. This is a simple uncomplicated contract in the English language, and it's a legal requirement here in Spain that you have one to enable you to drive our hire cars on the road. We do not perform credit or background checks, and we don't care how many points you might have on your driving licence, just so long as the licence is valid, and has been valid for at least two years, at the time you commence hiring the car. Please don't take our cars off-road, and don't be tempted to take any car on to a beach. This is prohibited in Spain (even if you see other people doing it) and you will be responsible for any significant damage incurred and the costs of recovery should the car require it. In any event, you'll never be asked to pay more than 250,00€ in cash to cover our expenses.
